Above, the Princess poses with Bahá’í children who performed at the opening. Six television channels in Thailand carried news of the visit of Princess Soamsawali, which was the first time a member of the Royal Family attended a Bahá’í-sponsored event. On her arrival, Princess Soamsawali was welcomed by members of the Spiritual Assembly and presented with flowers. She listened to the readings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, and to a report presented by the Spiritual Assembly. A gift of books was presented to her, which included the Kitab-i-Aqdas, the Hidden Words, a statement from Abdu'l-Baha's "Secret of Divine Civilization", and "The Promise of World Peace". Her Highness then pressed the button that officially opened the curtain covering the Baha'i Centre sign, and entered the Centre.
